Bellevue Downtown Winter 2008

THE EASY WAY TO THE BELLEVUE MAGIC SEASON

Enjoy all the holiday fun without the hassle of sitting in traffic or searching for parking. Take one of 24 Metro and Sound Transit bus routes that pass through the Bellevue Transit Center from locations near and far—Redmond, Everett, Issaquah and Kirkland, just to name a few.
Every Bellevue Magic Season venue is accessible by bus and a walk of .3 miles or less, so get on board. Plan your own excursion using the regional trip planner at transit.metrokc.gov, or try out some of our suggestions below.

Savvy Savings Tip
On Metro buses, up to four children age five and under can ride free when accom-panied by a responsible passenger paying an adult fare. On Sound Transit buses, this benefit is available to children age six and under.

Group Health Ice Arena: Try Sound Transit’s 550 if you’re coming from Downtown Seattle or Mercer Island. Exit the bus at Bellevue Way and Main St., take a short walk through Old Bellevue and turn right onto 102nd Avenue NE leading you straight into the Downtown Park.

Snowflake Lane: If you live in Clyde Hill or Factoria, take Metro’s 240 and be transported to this winter wonderland in 15 minutes or less. Redmond residents can use Metro’s 230 to 106th Avenue NE and then stroll one block west on the pedestrian corridor.

Garden d’Lights: Residents of the University District, Issaquah and Eastgate may ride Metro’s 271 to the intersection of 116th Avenue SE and SE 1st Street and then take a short walk up Main Street. This bus also stops on the NE 8th Street side of Bellevue Square, which makes it a great way to combine evening activities.

Theatre at Meydenbauer Center: The theatre is located one-half block from the transit center, which offers many routes operating into the late evening and on weekends, with plenty of options to get you to and from performances.

And if you’re sharing the ride in your own vehicle, don’t forget to take advantage of the HOV direct access ramp from I-405 onto NE 6th Street, as well as HOV lanes on I-90 and SR-520.
