Bellevue Farmers Market Takes Root
at New Downtown Location
From
sweet strawberries to plump heirloom tomatoes, there’s no better
place to taste summer and buy the region’s freshest local products
than the Bellevue Farmers Market.
Newly located at the corner of NE 4th Street and Bellevue Way (in the old Safeway parking lot across from Bellevue Square), the Bellevue Farmers Market makes locally farm-fresh produce—and the farmers who grow it—available to tens of thousands of visitors each year. This summer, the market is expanding its weekly schedule to Thursdays and Saturdays.
But it’s more than just produce—discover locally crafted cheese, Puget Sound seafood, specialty meats, flowers, eggs, artisan bread, preserves and a variety of handmade edibles. Local vendors serve ready-to-eat treats such as wood-fired pizza, tamales, crepes and gelato. Bellevue chefs cook up divine dishes using the day’s freshest goods at the demonstration kitchen. Add in live music and you have a community treasure that fills the heart, mind and stomach in one place.

Supporting local farms has immediate and long-lasting benefits for the community. It’s common for small producers to avoid using chemicals and pesticides, and buying at the market supports the farmers directly.
