A NEW BRIDGE
For Downtown Bellevue
A new sky bridge linking Bellevue Place and Lincoln Square
was recently installed over NE 8th Street in Downtown Bellevue. Slated
to open to the public in late June, the sky bridge spans 180 feet across
NE 8th Street.
This bridge will connect the Bank of America Building at Bellevue Place on the second level to the Lincoln Square’s second level near Thomasville. This project will complete the connection between The Bellevue Collection – Bellevue Square, Bellevue Place andLincoln Square.
Similar in design to the first sky bridge installed in 2005 in conjunction with the opening of Lincoln Square, Kemper Development, owners of The Bellevue Collection, worked with the City of Bellevue on the design. Designed by Sclater Partners Architects and installed by GLY, it was inspired by the sense of tree forms already in the city.
