Bellevue Downtown Summer 2007
Bellevue Downtown Association - Making a Great Place Together

Downtown Bellevue Reader,

Downtown Bellevue’s future looks brighter and busier than ever. Microsoft’s recent announcement that it will expand its footprint to The Bravern in Downtown Bellevue is great news for our city. This move will bring 4,000 Microsoft workers to Bellevue over the next two years. This is in addition to the 1,200 employees set to occupy Lincoln Square this summer. By 2009, Microsoft employees will represent 10% of the downtown workforce. The economic impact of this move for the residential, retail and office sectors is obvious. This announcement also takes one major office project off the market, improving prospects for other major developments. The BDA is preparing for this influx and will continue to work with the City to ensure our downtown grows as a vibrant urban center ready to welcome new residents and employees. We are Making a Great Place Together.
