Put Your Commute on Alaskan Cruise Control
Choose
not to drive alone for your commute just twice from March 12-23 and
you could be cruising to Alaska. Wheel Options, a statewide, two-week
campaign, is designed to encourage residents to consider the substitutes
to driving solo and to reward those who use alternative commutes.
Participating couldn’t be easier. Simply make a smart commute choice
at least twice during the two-week program—choose from bike, walk, train,
bus, carpool, vanpool, vanshare, telecommute or a compressed work week.
Then visit www.wheeloptions.org before March 30 to log your trips. You’ll
be entered to win great prizes — gift certificates, weekend getaways
and the grand prize, a 7-night cruise to Alaska!
And don’t forget to ask about Wheel Options at work, as many companies
offer additional incentives for their employees who participate. Making
a smart commute choice can improve your health and the health of the
environment, not to mention it saves you money.
So put your commute on cruise control by exploring your Wheel Options
today!
Wheel Options is organized twice a year by the Washington State Ridesharing
Organization (WSRO), a non-profit group established to encourage policy
makers, employers and commuters to support the use of transportation
alternatives to driving alone. Learn more about this organization at
