Eastside Heritage Center
Mini Museum Opens
Put even more entertainment and education into your next trip to Downtown Bellevue! Check out the Eastside Heritage Center’s (EHC) new Mini-Museum at KeyCenter. The “Mini-Museum,” which opened last year, is an exciting new opportunity for EHC to showcase its extensive artifact collection in the community. Explore a turn-of-the-century one-room schoolhouse, complete with wooden desks, a stove, chalkboard and various early classroom treasures. Discover a plethora of intriguing farming, logging and household artifacts. Participate in an interactive audio-visual corner showcasing a sampling of EHC’s extensive collection of historic photographs and documentary videos.
"The Heritage Museum at KeyCenter is a wonderful partnership between the Eastside Heritage Center and Equity Office," said EHC Executive Director Heather Trescases. "For the first time since the closure of Marymoor Museum in 2002, the Eastside Heritage Center is able to exhibit some of the fabulous items in its collection on a consistent basis. The Eastside has a rich past and a vibrant present, and the Mini-Museum is a place where connections for yesterday, today and tomorrow can be made."
Find the Mini-Museum in KeyCenter, 601-108th Avenue NE, through the generosity of Equity Office. Admission is free. Open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
