Bellevue Downtown Fall 2009

The Bravern

Photo of HyattAfter watching the corner of NE 8th and 112th take shape over the past few years, Eastsiders get their first inside look at The Bravern this September. One of the largest developments of its kind, this sophisticated mixed-use urban village creates a dramatic addition to the city’s skyline, brings exciting new retailers to the region and gives Bellevue a new community gathering space.

Ideally situated at the entrance to Downtown Bellevue on a fi veacre footprint that wraps around Meydenbauer Center, The Bravern vertically integrates iconic fashion brands, luxurious living, innovative work environments and welcoming spaces for social gatherings. Two offi ce towers, occupied by Microsoft, and two signature residential towers rise above The Shops at The Bravern, the European-inspired village at the base that will be home to an unparalleled collection of world-class retailers, acclaimed restaurants and exceptional amenities and services.

More than a dozen world-class merchants have chosen to open their first Northwest location in The Bravern, alongside beloved regional retailers. Anchored by a 125,000 square foot Neiman Marcus, The Shops will be home to fashion brands Hermès, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch and Piazza Sempione, among others. It also features lifestyle services Red Door Spa, DavidBartonGym and Sur La Table, to name a few. Dining options include the fi rst Eastside Wild Ginger, John Howie Steak, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus and two Artisanal restaurants by award-winning New York-based Chef Terrance Brennan- his first outside the Big Apple. And for those seeking something sweet, there is the Eastside's first Trophy Cupcakes.

The Bravern design team conducted extensive focus groups with local shoppers then toured more than 25 of the world's best places. The team drew inspiration from Prague, Paris and Berlin. The resulting design is part European, part Northwest and completely welcoming. Formal courtyard entrances create a dramatic sense of arrival. Open-air plazas with outdoor fi replaces and lush landscaping invite conversation. And personalized services offer the kind of experience you'd expect from a five-star resort.

Neiman Marcus will open September 11 with the remainder of The Shops at The Bravern opening September 12. Events include a black-tie Neiman Marcus Charity Gala on September 10, a Grand Opening Celebration on September 12 and 13 and a Block Party the evening of September 13.
