THE DISH ON DOWNTOWN DINING
Downtown
Bellevue's story of growth and transformation is about businesses finding
the right home. It's about new residents on a quest for a relaxed, safe
and convenient urban lifestyle. There are retail adventurers from near
and far, and patrons of great theatre, music and art.
These characters come together in the most basic way. They’re all seeking great dining options. And it's here where the downtown story really starts to sizzle.
Palomino opened in May at the former Manzana Grill location, perfectly situated on the corner of Lincoln Square. Palomino has already established a loyal downtown following with its happy hour specials and creative featured drinks like the Lavender Cosmo. Palomino is also known for throwing a little twist into traditional favorites. Just try the signature Lobster Macaroni and Cheese or the Asiago-Almond Crusted Sea Scallops.
Next
up, El Gaucho will ride into Downtown Bellevue for an October opening
at the new City Center Plaza. Other eateries, all on the way this winter,
include Purple Café and Wine Bar, Blue C Sushi, Boom Noodle and
Monsoon. Barrio, a Mexican-inspired offering created by the owners of
Purple Café, will also open near Purple at Bellevue Towers. The
list only grows in 2009 with John Howie Steak and Wild Ginger slated
for next October at The Bravern.
In the meantime, let this year's Restaurant Guide serve as your collection
of cuisine. It's a tasty script..
