BDA Urban Planning and Transportation Committee
The Urban Planning and Transportation Committee, co-chaired by
Jim Stanton (Microsoft) and Michael Chaplin (Sclater Partners Architects),
combines land use and transportation issues to engage in an integrated
way in the work of the downtown transportation plan update, land
use code work, regional corridors and transportation priorities,
and other timely issues.
The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, September 14, noon to 1:30
p.m. at the BDA office, 400 108th Ave NE, Suite 110.
Property Owner/Developer/Manger Forum
This committee is chaired by BDA Board Chair Greg Johnson. The
group provides focused input to inform the BDA's advocacy agenda
and address specific issues through relevant workgroups.
BDA Light Rail Committee
This committee, chaired by BDA Board Member David Schooler, expands
the BDA's capability to interact in the planning and implementation
stages of the East Link Light Rail Project. The Light Rail Committee
is meeting as needed to promote member understanding and representation
in the City's and Sound Transit's routing decision process.
The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 14, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
at the BDA office.
Restaurant Owner/Manager Group
This committee is chaired by Cathy Lalley, Neighborhood Marketing
Manager for all John Howie restaurants. This group gathers and shares
information about Downtown Bellevue's restaurant sector, develops
co-op marketing and promotional opportunities and provides content
and development direction for the BDA's dining website, BellevueLocalTable.com.
TMA Advisory Board
This committee, chaired by Board Member Alan Fulp,
advises TransManage in its ongoing evolution and growth, as a distinct
BDA line of business.
Philanthropy Workgroup
This committee, chaired by Board Member Jan Morris, works to define
the scope and purpose of the BDA's philanthropy and relevant efforts.
Economic Vitality Task Force
Chaired by Board Member Charlie Hafenbrack, this group helps design
and implement the CEO outreach program and develops advocacy plans
for business-friendly policy and regulatory framework.
Member Programs Committee
The Member Programs Committee, co-chaired by Board Member Nina
Collier, helps increase the value proposition for members, and informs
the member offerings, including Breakfast Meetings and the Annual
Celebration.
Bellevue Chamber Transportation Committee
BDA members are invited to meet jointly with the Chamber's Transportation
committee on the second Tuesday of each month, from 7:30 a.m. to
9:00 a.m. at the Chamber's office at 302 Bellevue Square in Downtown
Bellevue. This informative opportunity covers transportation issues
affecting Bellevue and the Puget Sound region. Committee guests
include transportation decision-makers from the local to the federal
level.
The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, July 13, 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
at the Chamber office.
